destined for greatness

I should be working, or an even better idea would be, I should be asleep. For the former I could think of a dozen excuses, for the latter, it simply eludes me. I find solace in the fact that I’ve been here before and that this is my element. But having not done this for so long I struggle for words to say. I rather not put in writing the nagging feeling of woe. Instead I do a Peter Pan and I call to mind happier times instead. I’d like to say that I need not look far, but it takes me some time to recall a recent happy moment that I had to resort to going back to the one the things that truly made me happy back then.

So I open the bag where I keep them, opened one I remember so well because of the deep message it conveys. “…someday, I will be a great person”, this was part of a letter my best friend gave me almost 15 years ago. Right now I’d really like to call her up and say “you already are a great person” but I guess we already know that.

"You must stay drunk on writing so reality cannot destroy you." ~ Ray Bradbury. I tend to agree with Mr. Bradbury, although my writings steer clear from dystopia, I am a fan of Batman and the young Bruce Wayne … throughout this blog (if you stay long enough) you’ll come to understand what this mortal thinks of the world around her ... maybe you'll even agree.
